Hi all,
I am hoping I can gain some help and advice here please.
I have a 1950's bicycle frame (which I have rescued as it was being thrown out in a house clearance) that I would like to alter slightly and increase the wheelbase slightly. I would like to do this by using CF.
Would 200g 2 x 2 twill be suitable for the main tubes of the bicycle frame. If so, which epoxy would be most suitable for this purpose?
My thoughts are to cut the two main tubes from the head stock to the set post out of the frame but leave stubs of around 100mm so I still have a decent ( is 100mm enough? ) to wrap the CF sheet round. This would allow me to increase the frame length by a little and to possibly add an extra few degrees of rake into the steering. If the 200g twill is enough for bottom wraps then I could use a higher quality sheet for the top wrap that will be visible.
Does this sound suitable and doable? Or am I way of the mark with my thoughts on this?

Any help and advice is appreciated.
Cheers all

JK
