Outdoor marine ply structure

I am constructing a marine ply outdoor structure that needs to be weather proofed & UV resistant. I propose polyester laminating resin & Glass Bubbles for filling prior to hand laminating with woven glass fibre/polyester resin. It will then be coated with a 1 to 2 mm layer of polyester resin, fine copper carbonate powder & fine quartz filler mix to give a matt, weathered copper patina finish. I propose polyester instead of epoxy in order to avoid UV degradation.

A few questions
1.    Which polyester resin to use?
2.    What ratio of thinner & which thinner for the polyester to seal the marine ply prior to filling, etc.?
3.    Is it a good idea to use peel ply after laminating in order to give a good key surface for the final coat ?
4.    Which polyester resin for the final coat & what is the maximum ratio of resin to filler powders?

For a job like this you may be better off with a roofing "kit" you get at some places especially if they offer custom pigmentation.

Otherwise a General Purpose polyester will be fine throughout.  You would not really need to thin it down for a sealing coat.

Peel ply is a good way of getting an even finish.

From a colouring perspective, copper and quartz fillers can be added in high percentages (due to weight) with the limit only really being when the resin becomes too thick to use effectively. You are unlikely to be able to pour the resin 2mm thick without it trying to run and flow - especially if the surface is not flat.  You may need to build a few layers if you want that kind of thickness of resin.

Your final resin layer will need a wax additive to avoid being tacky once cured.  Resins almost always cure with a gloss finish so to make it matt you would need to sand it or coat it with a clear satin lacquer to maintain clarity.
