Hi looking to build a outboard pod it goes on the back of a boat and the engine hangs off it needs to be really strong
I am planning on using 630gram m2 woven roving 15 layers the pod is shaped like a box the.laminate will be inside lining of the box the corners will be 3 layers times 15 layers do really up to 45 layers thick in certain sections
Hand lay up is not a option due to the extense labor time
Just wondering if it could be done using vacuum infusing? Are there any techniques i can use or tricks of the trade?
What size pump do u think i will need? The side of the box is roughly .5 m3 1 laminate is around 1.5 m2 and i need 15 layers
Resin will be vinylester 60min working time
Thanks
