Im new and will be making my first piece next week. I am making a small part and was told to only use only WAX releases agent and not PVA on the finish part of the mold when infusing to make sure the finish is perfectly even and doesnt have any marks like when applying the PVA. Is this safe to do? I was thinking of getting a small spray bottle for spraying pva instead because im worried just the wax will not allow easy release.

Properly applied (multiple applications) Release Wax is very reliable and buffs to a high-gloss finish whereas PVA gives a matte, mottled appearance which would result in the final part having the same finish. The benefit of PVA is that it is a single application and thus faster to apply, whereby you will generally require 3 or 4+ coats of wax to ensure a well-covered surface.
