Hi everyone,
I'm searching how I can include a logo, a letter or even a word on an infusion part. I'm making a part for my Caterham 7 and I want to have the 7 logo on top of it with the same fabric but with a 45°angle.
I try to cut the fabric but it is not accurate. I also try to put adhesive spray before cutting it; it's more accurate but it's not really easy and the result is not perfect. Finally I try to do it with a dry fabric. Easy to cut but I didn't get a good result.
Do you have any advise?
Edit : here is a result of a try with adhesive spray :

From memory I believe Bruce does it with cured material. He infuses a single layer of the reinforcement he is using, and then cuts it out using a very sharp blade.
I do remember him saying it was a bit of a joke for him to make it look so easy in the video - it actually took him a very long time with a lot of effort. It's a gorgeous result though, true craftsmanship.
