Hi all

I am just starting my first project , I have made a table from 6" posts, routered some words into the side with a desidn on top , I have spoken to easycomposites already and to do the letters and diamond design on top , approx depth 15mm use Clear Cast 50 , with a little mixed up first to seal the wood where resin will be poured .

Now , once all this is done and sanded etc ,  i am looking to put Clear cast 3 over the whole table, now the top will be fine as well as the sides , , Can I BRUSH  this product onto the square legs to give them the same glossy shine as the top etc , my letters and diamond design will be in a deep metallic red ,
also intend to lightly stain the other parts of the wood that arnt resined will this be ok to apply the Clear Cast 3 onto ?

sorry if its   a bit winded , just starting out and hope to go onto river tables etc .

cheers guys and gals

Sounds like a cool project.  Yes you can brush apply the GlassCast 3 to the legs.  You will not be able to brush it too thick as otherwise it will run, however, reapply when the resin gets to the B stage of cure (firm but tacky) and you will be able to build a few layers up relatively quickly.  Then you can flat it with sandpaper and polish back to a gloss to get a nice flat and glossy finish.

Thanks warren great advice , I will upload picture before and after , thanks again
