Hello,

I have a mould made out of wood and i want to create some skins from it. What i did so far: I have dyed the mould with primer(2 layers). And now im thinking to add a layer of painting. Is this necessary? If I leave it with 2 layers of primer will my mould react with my epoxy resin? I am going to do infusion process.

I've used tygavax tygaflor and tooltec for use on mdf and wooden plugs, it's a self adhesive ptfe tape and works well, but it ain't cheap.
As you are aware the wood soaks up anything you put on it, I know people have used wax through to 2k lacquer. The key is to make sure the coating is cured fully and compatible with the resin system you are using

You should do your own small sample test of the materials and release agents etc.
