dMustang II aircraft cowling mold: where to start?

Dear Composites Friends,
I'm new to this forum and new to composites in general.  While I'm interested in learning more about composites in general, my present compelling interest is due to my need to fabricate a cowling for a homebuilt Mustang II aircraft project. I have no real concept of how to get started building the mold and am a little anxious about it.  It there a thread ln this forum that might get me started in the right direction or a tutorial video, etc? I would greatly appreciate any advice or direction.  Warm Regards, Mike

Hi, welcome to the forum! Simple panels such as a cowling can be moulded in a similar way to body panels for cars. If you watch our video series on making a carbon bonnet/hood it shows the mould making process as well as making the part and should give you all the basic information you need.
