+x+x+xHi everyone!
Just Launched the first part of my 3-part video tutorial on my YouTube! You can find the first video down here!
Cool ! You should have used all natural fibers tho, mixing with carbon kinda defeats the point in my mind. Probably wouldn't really work with this potato bag tho...
true! I follow you on this one!
I think in most of my prototyping I first go the save way and analyse the product then step it up to the more extremes and then find a nice way inbetween. This was the save way
I completely understand and i actually mix fibers a lot in my projects. Most of my skis for example are a mixed layup with flax in +/-45° and glass or carbon in 0° along the ski. This saves weight over a pure glass layup and the flax nicely dampens the ski. And with the glass or carbon in 0° they still are snappy.
All this board needs to be is being reasonably stiff tho and natural fibers have a great stiffness to weight ratio so it would have been a good use case. Most fabrics on the market are absolutely rubbish tho and negate all the good properties of the fiber with a bad fabric architecture...
Cheers! Lester
