is it realy a nightmare to cut black diolen? it looks like a good material to practice with but if it cant be trimmed to an acceptable standard its usless for making parts that look like carbon but without the need for carbons properties.

Diolen can go 'fluffy' on the trimmed edge, this is more of a problem with wet layup as the cores of the fibre may not be fully wetted out, with infusion it shouldn't be a problem. it's fairly easy to clean up anyway with some 400grit sand-paper.
