Rescuing wooden garden planters

Hi there, I’ve been asked to recuse some old plywood trough planters. Being a laminator I immediately thought I’d skin the inside with a layer of CSM and wet out with polyester resin. Then I’d flow coat the inside to give it a glossy appearance and seal from soil and water damage. Would this be alright? Would another resin/Matt system be better for this project?

Cheers

Okay mate. It’s not to wet atm so just looking at a West epoxy system as I can get it through work. I’ll seal all the wood with a coat of resin and laminate inside the through to add a bit of strength.
