Here's a picture of a rather nice FOLDING telescope.

Its not copyrighted, and I would rather like to make one of my own in CF.  Mel Bartel, the original designer has endorsed making another one - and set the goal of "beating" his for weight and stiffness.

Question: WHat kind of techniques would lend themselves to making components for this scope ?
