One thing to be aware of with the translucent dyes and using them with epoxy is that while they may be compatible in the regard that they won't react with the epoxy or cause curing issues, but a lot of them will actually completely disappear over time due to UV exposure and you will be left with just a clear piece of epoxy again. I know this to be especially true for the 'PSTF' range of dyes, but I imagine they will all be similar products and hence it could be a common concern. In the testing I have done, it seems to effect certain colours more than others. It obviously also isn't going to happen over night, and it does depend on UV exposure levels, but it is worth being aware of.

Mat, I can't speak specifically for GlassCast as I can't get it here, but I use a product called Kraft Kote which is also a self-levelling top coating epoxy, and so should be very similar in their chemistry. I use this all the time over the top of acrylics and enamels, and it works perfectly. Here is a workbench I made, where my logo is sprayed using an acrylic:

Thanks Hanaldo, either way I was going to try it with acrylic as a base of the to be coated project but knowing it is possible makes me a bit more confident now...will give it a try and share my experience Smile
