Hi! I just wanted some advice on how to go about making a mould of the part pictured below (circled red). I was considering using the uni-mould kit and obviously closing the hole but would this be the sufficient way to go about it? My plan is to replicate this part via a mould then make replicas of it with carbon fibre via resin infusion (not prepreg). Please advise if this is possible. Many thanks in advance.

If you're concerned regarding some of the tight angular areas, then you could possibly try using an epoxy gelcoat and a combination of powder bound csm (with epoxy resin) and EC's mould making putty, which can be pressed into the tighter areas.

Of course, you will need to ensure that the part's surface is adequately painted and prepped to provide a release, especially if it's made from some kind of plastic.

Also, epoxy tooling gelcoats are more viscous than the uni-mould vinylester resin, so be careful of air entrapment in tight areas and try not to let it pool too much. A little heat will help with better flow and coverage
