Hi. I am wondering if your bioflex flax fibre sheeting can be used as a substitute for fibreglass matting and can be used in a similar fashion cutting it into strips in a wet lay up process over a mould. Please let me know if there is a particular step by step process you could refer me to? Thanks very much.

Hi Nicola,

Flax can be used  in just the same fashion, cutting it to strips to laminate it where you need it.  It wets out relatively easily and its relatively soft and pliable nature means it can be made to conform to most mould shapes.  From a mechanical perspective, flax is not as stiff as a similar weight woven glass cloth, so you may find when replacing glass with flax, you need additional layers.
