Hi,
just wondering how much area will 5kg of Epoxy Mould Making Putty will cover.
According to your "Epoxy Mould Making Starter Kit" manual 750g will cover about 40cm x 40cm, so 5kg would cover about 2,66 sqm?
Thanks

Hi,

Well, actually I think to be sufficiently strong I would recommend the small kit be used for a mould no larger than 30cm x 30cm (it does depend on the shape but 40cm x 40cm would be a bit too thin I think). I've updated the product instructions and product pages accordingly.

As for your calculation on the larger kit; I think you've worked that out wrong. Remember you're talking about area so you can't just multiply both measurements to arrive at the new area; area is a square function:

750g is good for 0.3m x 0.3m = 0.09sqm
5kgs is (5/0.75) 6.6 times more material so would be good for 6.6 x 0.15sqm = 0.6sqm. In measurements: sqrt (0.6sqm)=0.77m x 0.77m

I hope this helps.
