Hi there,
I am looking to make an injection mould to create a replacement frame for my TV. The current frame is damaged and i was thinking i could somehow make a mould of the original frame, use some kind of resin to create a new frame and then simply attatch the new one on. Any ideas on how to go about this? As i'm a total novice when comes to composites any help and advice will be much appreciated

Hi Chris,
I think you want to make a mould of an injection moulded part, not make an injection mould (they're a specific kind of mould, very heavy, designed to take a lot of pressure).
Can you take a picture of the frame, maybe then we can understand it better? Unless it's a pretty simply shape (injection moulded parts can be VERY cimplicated, particularly on the inside perhaps where it mates up with the screen) then it might have a lot of complications which would need resolving before it could realistically be made as a composite part.
