Marking carbon fiber with soric2 and 3

Hi 

I'm from belgium 
We have order in few moth different consumable to made a hood in infusion 

the finish is good, i have 100% vacuum, we use the resin IN2 epoxy, all it's good but we have place the soric2 and 3 in different part's to test the resistant finish and i have this propleme > show this picture  



I have test the infusion with 1,2 and 3 layer and i have always this mark in the carbon 

The cure cycle is respect, the vacuum is full it's your resin 

I don't enderstant were is the problem 
I your tutorial with the hood for the mini the technician use only 1 layer carbon and direct the soric2 

Have you a idea why i have this mark ?

Hi,

Have you used carbon tape to build the thickness at the edges to match the soric? In the Bonnet video we used to tape to match the thickness so that there is no difference. If there is a difference, then usually it shows up on the surface of the finished part.  You can sand the foam to a taper to help but this is not so easy to sand soric in that fashion when compared to PVC foams.
