Hi guys, I am very new to this forum and to composites.

I have a project I would like to do, and I know I am jumping in the deep end, but I want to see if its possible, or reasonable to do.

This is a part for a rifle "stock". Basically I want the skin to be carbon fiber and to use some sort of machinable filler to add reinforcement where needed.

I will have access to a cnc router for a start, so I can make molds or a core. Ideally I would like to do a mold so I can make more than one of these.

Also here is a pic of the start of a mold design.

I would leave the main edges open so I can use a flush trim bit to cut the profiles after. Also I can add the filler before removing from the mold.

Let me know what you think, cheers, Sam.
