Hello its me again with some more noob questions on carbon.

I've had a lot of fun so far with making carbon blunders.

This weeks instalment features the use of the easy composites bristled roller as well as a heat gun with some interesting effects.

So last night after my new roller arrived I was keen to get on with casting another sheet of carbon. The garage was slightly cold so I decided to heat up my mould using a hot air gun till the mould was warm to the touch.
While laying the carbon each time I used the roller and made several passes.
While applying more epoxy for the next sheet I quickly passed over with the hot air gun and watched as alot of bubbles popped(awesome).
The final change I made this time was adding two extra layers to the stack so 9 x 650g 2/2 twirl. i guessed this would give me a finishing thickness of around 5.5mm once compressed and thought it may help push any bubbles out if I increased the compression force on the stack.

this is the end result. although beautiful not entirely perfect. anyone know whats happening here?

The end result seams to have a lot less bubbles in it. there is hardly any pinholes on the surface of both sides although there is some rippling going on. have i put to many layers in and squeezed to much. Thickness actually came out closer to 6mm.

any help/comments appreciated. gearing up for an infusion set up over the next month or two so more learning and blunders to come.
