Kevlar and UV Protection

I have the loopbacked Kevlar material in a clothing application. The Kevlar is sewn to a garment under cotton material.

I live in Australia, and for this application (motorcycle) I am concerned that long rides in summer will reduce the protective properties of the fabric. Given the degradation of Kevlar due to prolonged UV exposure, do you recommend shielding the material? Is it advised to have the have the Kelvar material under a UV resistant material?

We would certainly recommend the Kevlar is under a layer of another material. In most cases this will provide plenty of UV protection to the Kevlar. However, if the cotton is especially thin, then it might not be as effective as thicker fabrics.
