Lotus 108 building process

Hi everybody,

I've started doing carbon bikes two years ago and we have built about 8 already with very basic production technology. For this year I am planning to build a replica of the famous lotus 108 pursuit bike. Does anyone have an idea about the building process used? It would be nice not just copying the frame, but also doing a replica of the building proces.
I read it is vacuum assisted resin infusion (which we also use for dropouts, so I am familiar with it) using a PU foam core. My question would be - how is the frame split into "halves" or parts during or is it molded as one piece? If it is done in one piece: how is it possible to control resin content in such a process?

regards,

There was a panorama on it many years ago.  The film showed straight wet-lay but this was HQ fibre products making the very first one for mike burrows.  Might be worth seeing if it's on tinterweb.
