Hi Everyone,

Been a while since I've posted but been enjoying reading the projects being done by others.

I'm slowly (ever so!) restoring my Austin 7 chassis and will be ordering an ash frame to mount a body to the chassis.
Traditionally this is covered in 20g (approx. 0.7mm) thick Aluminium panels but was wondering if anyone would recommend a resin infusion stack that would give similar strength?

I'd like to think that a stack of ProFinish/Bi-Axial/Bi-Axial/Diolen would be reasonable but am certainly open to suggestions.

It probably won't be ready for the body until next year but getting this information now gets those thoughts out of my head and means I can concentrate on more important things like finishing the chassis first!!

Thanks in advance for any help/ advice.

Cheers,
David

I'd be looking at having a similar,  if not slightly better strength than the ali.
I suppose I don't need the diolen for the main panels but would certainly look to include it at the bottom of the floor panels and transmission tunnel.

Thanks as always for the advice.

Cheers,
David
