As the title says, going to be making a 2 piece mould of a GSXR 1000
tailpiece, and I'm having trouble getting my head round it.The top is OK
it the underneath that's the problem,as you can see in the picture it
has a lip,so would the flange be best at 90 degrees or straight,as I
will be vacuum bagging the part when I make it,how do I hold the carbon
inplace.Hope I've made myself clear,in my head I know what I want to
say,but when it comes to writing it down it goes out the window.Crazy
Any advise is appreciated.

   Thanks Paul

You could make the part in two separate halves and then join together after with epoxy putty. Or lay just the first layer of cloth on each half (separately) to capture the shape. Then, when cured, lay the rest of the cloth, join the two halves and cure to form one finished piece.
