Hi, my name is bud. I have recently started working with carbon fiber for a project car that my wife and I own. 87 CRX SI. Thanks for having me. I look forward to sharing info and gaining a lot of great knowledge from this site. So far I like this place  a lot.

Thanks.    Smile

P.S. I posted a long winded intro prior to this one, and I think I broke it lol. The URL went haywire and created a 404 error. Sorry for the double post, Mods please delete prior post if not fix-able.

Thanks again. Smile

Yea I hate them almost as much as marshmallow peeps lol lol  Crazy

Welcome to this site.
In my opinion I would say this to you. You are wasting your time doing wet layup without vacuum bagging. You will never get pin hole free parts. People who are infusing are struggling with the odd pin hole. I use an autoclave and still get the odd pin hole.
Wet layup is fine when using polyester because it will wet out and you can see the bubbles as the glass fiber wets out . Epoxy because it is so thick will not. The more you work it with a brush the worse it becomes, plus because the carbon is black you cannot see what your doing.
You said at all costs, so invest in a vacuum pump or get a pump out of a refrigerator for free and use its vacuum capabilities by running it backwards. I used a refrigerator pump when I firsts started out and it worked great.
Hope this helps.
