Hello from Bristol, UK

I've been lurking for a little while whilst I've been trying to learn about carbon fibre and composites so thought it was time to say hello!

Complete novice to composites/laminates and primarily planning on making bike parts so I started on a saddle pan.

Bought the epoxy mould kit and made a pattern from my existing saddle.

First pull was much better than I had assumed it would be but still far from perfect though I know what to improve on next time.

Starting hand wet lay to begin with and the first attempt was without pulling a vacuum. Pretty obvious I need to look at getting a vacuum pump and I've read lots about infusion so much to learn (and buy).
