Art Resin

Interested to know if the recently added product to the EC range has any other uses outside of coating artwork?

I know that the EC guys like to experiment with products, so wondered if Art Resin might have some suitability for coating composite parts, especially as it appears to be UV stable?

Cheers

We have not experimented with using it for composite work as yet, as we already have plenty of composites specific resins for that purpose.

That said, as a coating resin it could have some use for repairing surface defects or similar, albeit it is a softer resin when compared to a more traditional laminating or coating resin so for a part in regular use may not have the same durability.  Obviously for art work, which is generally rarely touched, this isn't an issue.

Already ArtResin has some uses outside of core "artwork" such as jewelry, coating timber furniture and other uses. We would recommend you look at the ArtResin website, especially the Learn and Gallery sections, as you can see quite a broad spectrum of projects using the resin other than pure picture based artwork.
