Hi,
I am looking for suggestions on books or maybe some links to tutorials explaining more in-depth the property's of carbon fibre?
 to explain a little more..
I have made plenty of decorative items with carbon (mainly trial and error to get correct results) and feel very confident with my techniques from tooling to vacuum infusion to finishing and polishing,
but i have no scientific understanding of the strengths and weaknesses as required for making weight bearing items! or realistically engineering lightweight high strength products.
Basically I need easy to understand yet informative books, tutorials and guides on understanding how to predict the properties of cured carbon items in a bid to reduce waste and improve the efficacy of my items
(maybe easy composites could do a new video tutorial covering some of this!?)
thanks Smile

I have this book, licensed by the society of manufacturing engineers. It has all the processes explained, also the physics and chemistry behind carbon, kevlar, as well as the various resins types and basically everything to do with composites and the methods of manufacture.

It is a textbook style, but very informative. Quite difficult to understand at first but after a while its okay.
