Hi
Yesterday i really hammered the carbon lip on my front bumper, and it is really annoying.
Now i want to repair this myself, but i hope someone here can help me in the right direction.

If you look at the pictures you can see how the damage is.

Now my plan is to sand the whole lip down with 120grain wet sandpaper untill it seems even.
Then ill use a brush and apply epoxy laminating resin with a brush over the sanded area.
After this ill let the resin harden and then and it down with 800 and 1200 wet sandpaper.

Will this work and can i expect the reults to be pretty good?
Should i use anything to clean of the lip before applying the resin?

Any help appreciated

Yup, its for UV protection and also allows you to control the finish a bit more, gloss/satin etc...

For your project, rattle can lacquer from Halfords or similar car part store would suffice
