hi, I am new to carbon, looking to make a set of carbon panels for a customers car. Due to the size of the panels I was planning on having 1 layer of carbon, 3mm Lantor Coremat, 1 layer of carbon. My problem is that the Lantor Coremat is white and the carbon is black, there are a few panels where you'll be looking at it edge on so will see the White Lantor Coremat. What's the best way to colour the Coremat black? My customer is fussy and I know they won't be happy seeing White Coremat. Is the best way to lay up the first layer of carbon allow to start curing then apply the Coremat with black pigment in the resin, again allow to start curing before adding the final layer of carbon.

Thanks in advanced!

I always keep cores away from the edges of laminates anyway. So leave the core about 2" short of the edges, and build up the thickness using strips of cloth or woven tape.
