So I had great vacuum and it appeared to infuse perfectly, but once I pulled the part the sides were lacking in resin. Did the sides just pull away from the mold and I couldn't tell? It looked smashed into the mold for sure. http://www.talkcomposites.com/Uploads/Images/7a1b8931-0856-4b89-9f43-dab9.JPG

Making perfect cosmetic finish CF parts is a skill that takes some practise ... actually quite a bit of practise

I do not think I've ever gotten the difficult, tight cornered, compound curved parts right in the first try, .  ever...

I often do a test run, using 200 gsm twill glass, laying in only two layers, to save a bit on the resin as well-- That will show you the "trouble-spots" and you can take that into account when trying for the full CF part.

I'm going to make a few test infusions, using EC Polyester Infusion Resin, as soon as my order is delivered.
