Suitable resin to cast?

Hi,

I am having difficulty deciding on what resin to use. I am thinking to use epoxy, but thought I'd get a second opinion.

What I need: a lightweight part which is strong enough to hold about 3 kg on the right most part, but more importantly be able to withstand shock loading and vibration. Something like this:

Would epoxy be best? Or would polyurethane be better because it will flex more before fracturing?

I would have preferred to make this bracket out of a mix of carbon fibre and diolen or something, however that is against the rules of the competition this part will be used in, it cannot be made out of composite materials (I believe the intent of the rule is to get rid of carbon fibre parts). At the moment the most common solution is a cast aluminium part, however it is susceptible to fracturing and expensive to buy. I want to replace that with either a cast resin or plastic part if possible.
