Carbon fibre engine case covers

Hi,

I need to make some carbon fibre engine case covers to fit over my existing engine side cases on my motorcycle.  They need to be able to withstand high temperatures 100c to 110c.
I have attached a picture of what one of the pieces i need to cover.  The cover i am planning to make would fit snugly over it as a protective skin.
What would be the best way to go about it?  I have a spare engine case which i could make the carbon fibre piece on, but i dont want it to stick to that cover.
Which kit would be better to use?

Any help would be much appreciated,
Tommy.

Hi Tommy
A thin layer of carbon will give very little impact/abrasion resistance when used for your engine cover, if its for more than just aesthetic purposes it should be quite thick and preferably have some Kevlar in the stack.
