Can someone explain how a resin brake works? the theory behind it and how to make it?

i've seen it mentioned on another forum.

I think the idea is to slow down the infusion process?

Yes I saw the need for resin flow manipulation yesterday. this Idea just dawned on me making my latest part. I had the infusion mesh on my part then up on the surface of the mold top. I need to notch the infusion mesh up on top so the resin is forced to flow through the part itself, not directly to the vacuum side.

Here's a Pic of What I mean, Next time I'll actuall make the cut. The resin did flow right but still coulda been better.
