I just came upon this great site. I have been looking for info and products to aid me in dropping weight on our speed run snowmobiles. I am looking to develop a basic working knowledge of different techniques used in building various composite parts. I hope to start by building smaller parts such as steering posts, handle bars, covers and brackets. I would then like to try some body panels and ultimately would like to eventually build a complete composite chassis! If anyone could recommend books or online training programs it would be much appreciated!
Thx in advance.

As far as I remember from my few thousand hours on Ski-Doo's, large parts of snowmobiles are rather heavy big plastic panels and other "coverings"  They will save you a lot of weight if reproduced in CF/kevlar (A bit like Motorbike fairing parts)  Probably much more than doing smaller structural parts in solid/thick CF.
And, although bigger, they are easier to make... Smile
