Is there a reason you don't want to use Duratec? Made almost specifically for this purpose really. Bit expensive I guess but it doesn't sound like it would need a lot.
I filled the worst of the damage which actually went down to the glass with a vinylester gel coat that the mould has on it anyway to make sure it matches but I want to make a couple of changes anyway so I was just thinking out loud as the mess happened yesterday and today it just looked awful.. It is not as bad as it first looked but I guess I have a good weeks work to get it how I want..
I was thinking about getting it to a really good surface if possible and durabuild is good but is quite rippled when I spray it. I can get a clear coat down really smooth out of the gun so a bit less work. But I do have some durabuild I can use and to be honest I think it will be OK using that then once the master is out then just fine tune that with a clear coat or more durabuild.
I kept meaning to make a master but I had to get some made fast for customers and it got left.. my mistake but one I will not make again.. LOL..
