Hello

First I must say congrats to the producers of this forum and its members, wow some of the projects on here are amazing.

I  hire a workshop in macclesfield where I do all my hobby stuff, it started 3 years ago with a project to make carbon fiber coffe cups and my attempts kept failing one after the other, but I kept going and now I have collected lots of equipment to complete my first project (all composite gear, lathe & mill, heat cupboards, spray painting etc).
The cup still isnt finished but its very close, ive had to invent my own techniques to produce a shinny smooth finish on all sides, a perfectly captured CF fabric with No bubbles.

The engineering equipment comes in very handy with composites, I make my own brackets and screw components that I epoxy into the  final products that I make for my superbike, it looks very clean and tidy.

Tonight I was working on my Gyro Cam project, its a shark fin that comes off the rear of the bike at 45 degrees, then a gyro/servo holds a carbon poll with a mini HD camera at the end of it.  The images will show me riding the bike and where its going but the horrizon will remain flat even when I throw the bike left or right into turns.  I can't wait to see what the images turn out like.

Im self taught with everything through forums and youtube, but id like to offer an open invitation to anyone who wishes to visit, it would be nice possible share a project for a change Smile

never tested the gyro cam, wiring it up today I got my 12v to 6v converter wired up backwards and blew the gyro Crying £55 and a 2 week wait for one to arrive from USA.  I doubt ill be doing top speeds with it, the camera will undoubtably shake in the winds, maybe 70ish max.  Testing will tell.

Just had a crap outcome with my last resin infusion job, the rising went So very brittle and my part shattered coming out of the mould.  Did a test on the resin and it fractured like tempured glass.  Hope its just that batch, ive got 1 fresh batch from EC and another from CM to test.  It cost loads to do each run though.

The monocoque will need a plug, ill buy a superbike tail and alter it, make the moulds and use wet layup with 600 CF keeping the main strength under the seat.  Ill inser alloy parts where it bolts to the frame.

Next time I start a jub ill list it here and see if I can get help with the inevitable problems that come along LOL
