Hi,
Can I ask what product to use to clear a fill solid Oak 50mm thick table top? This is for student design projects. They intend to put glass chippings and LED lights into the big splits in the timber.
Cheers, Geoff

The problem with both of the products in our experience is long term durability for a piece that gets used. Both the products can easily scratch and will end up with rings in if hot drinks cups are regularly left in contact.
For cosmetic decorative pieces with little use, then great the two products will work fine within the limits of thier own characteristics.
We are currently trying to develop a better waterclear casting resin especially for the table top/bar top/floor coating purposes as it has recently become very popular due to a few famous bars and resturants with clear floor/table centre pieces with coins or similar.
