Polyester resin outside

Hi all,

I have a few kayaks to build over the coming weeks using glass and polyester resin.  I have build before inside but due to moving house since last building, I will be forced to either rent somewhere, or build outside.

The question is, does building using polyester resin outside affect the finished product as some people have told me that the styrene disappears too quickly meaning the cross linking doesn't happen properly?  I have also heard that some larger boat manufacturers build outside when they can.

Layup plan is Gelcoat -> 1x 450gsqm CSM (2 in high stress places for added strength) -> 300gsqm woven rovings all polyester resins.  This is the standard layup for the kayaks and works well.

Can anyone help clear this up for me?

1x200g!!  OMG that is thin.  I've paddled slalom boats which are 1x600g/3mm foam/2x200g and I thought that was pushing it.  I've also paddled squirt boats which are generally built like barges!  I was never a fan of the tippy boats.  I tried a stealth and thought better of it!
