I had a few requests for fuel tanks. I had one of my first seat/tank units which I was not happy with. So I decided to cut it up to use the tank portion of the unit...
Here are a few shots... The part was not great when I started so was perfect as a first test part.
Here is the roughly cut tank..
I offered it up to the tank base mould to check where it had to be trimmed.
Here is the base being laid up..
The high tech inserts being installed... haha... It does not get much easier and cheaper than this...
Just finished lay up with the inserts installed and covered with carbon.

Tank number 3.......
Just out of the mould this morning.. Just given quick once over to remove the worst of the resin flashing and a wipe over. No clear coat....But I think I pretty much nailed the V pattern... haha...
