Hi,
So basically I don't really want to make a mould of the center console of my car.
I was hoping of simply wrapping the carbon fiber around it, but applying a release agent to it and not tucking it under the edges so I can pop it out from under it.
Do maybe 3 layers of 2/2 twill CF then do one final layer and do a few coats of epoxy resin. A bit like the skinning process, but using epoxy resin instead of epoxy coating?
Would this work? The piece is pretty simple. I could get a picture of the parts I plan to do!
Cheers

I see, well when I looked at a few videos online non of them (including one from the carbon mods who have now created this website?) making parts with no reinforcement. The part is for the center console of my car, the plastic around the handbrake to be specific.
