Hi all. I’d like to show you my lasts work about composites.

I’m  very found in Hydrofoil kiteboarding, so in the past 10 years I do some models

This is the last one. The idea was to build something different  from the models on the market, an hydrofoil easy, stable, and possibly fast.

I know absolutely nothing about kiteboards so cant comment on that side of things. I can however appreciate the work that has gone into it from a composites perspective, stunning.
I take it the hydrofoils are inter changeable for different applications?

yes the T-bar is the same, you can change the wing if you want to change the running style.

It's a joke for the viedo   Cutting out the carbon takes more time than the video.

Any information on how the wing shaped parts are made? Wooden core with carbon skin or moulded carbon?

Both, the first one as a wood core. The last is full carbon hand shaped, after i've done a mould.

I just watched your video and read that you did a spoof of cutting out the designs with the knife so fast. But, is that the way you actually do it? with a sharp knife. I am wanting to do something like what you do on a coffee table of mine. Is it a sheet that is just one thickness and already cured or do you try to cut it out ahead of time.

Yes, but often I need also sanding a little bit the edge because cutting with a knife it's difficult to follow complex lines.

I'ts quite easy with the 160 gr spread tow, it's a little bit harder with the 200 gr spread tow.
I'm not sure that it's possible whith other fabrics

Yes, you need hard and cured material.
