Can you get it in small quantities? The issue is getting it in small enough quantities, it would take me a year to use 4Kg of the stuff haha. But I have actually managed to source 4Kg of Kinetix R118 from Fibreglass and Resin Sales. Now I just need to find a chemical release agent that doesn't leave a matte finish... 

Normally this stuff is sold by the 20kg pail but it's only $8.50 per kg.

If you ask they may do you a 4kg tin. They have often supplied me with smaller quantities of all sorts of things.

Use a semi permanent release and then wax over that too and it will be glossy.
