While researching composite construction techniques, Google was kind enough to lead me to this very informative site. I'm interested in building some custom components for my wife's Trek Speed Concept triathlon bike as well as incorporating  composite work into the RC gliders that I build and fly.

My background includes 10 years working as a commercial pilot and another 20+ years working as a high school science teacher. Along the way I've done a good bit of modeling but only a little work with glass and epoxy.
I'll be piping in with questions before too long but need to bring my knowledge base up a bit more before showing my near complete ignorance.
