On a good flange surface the flash tape shouldn't be necessary, release should be as easy as sliding a razor blade under the material somewhere and then sticking wedges in from there. Fine to use flash tape if you want, but its not cheap stuff, it will add up as a cost in an already pretty expensive process.

Yes I agree it shouldn't be necessary.  When using polypropylene signboard I sometimes wipe over the flange with a layer of EasyLease at the end of doing the rest of the pattern but more for insurance and habit from using other materials than a need.
