Not if you vent the tank through to the outside of the bag Steve. Then you are pulling air into the tank from outside the bag, which is essentially creating a leak in the bag but preventing the tank from collapsing. Thats ok for skinning, it just means you would need a vacuum regulator to leave the pump running and still only pull low vacuum.
