Hi

I currently use this product to coat FDM 3d prints prior to finishing/painting.

Have you got a resin in your range that has similar properties but is more cost effective?  I think it mainly the "slump" that I'm trying to retard slightly so the resin stays on vertical surfaces whilst setting.

Ideally I'd like it clear or with minimal colour for self coloured prints.

     Couldn't see any pricing on there to compare with, however it seems a similar product to our XCR Epoxy Coating Resin which is commonly used for similar applications on 3D prints and other patterns.

             Hi - I'd guess you're at about 70% of the XTC-3D price. I purchased a small kit of XCR Epoxy Coating Resin and coated some test pieces. Still getting some print layer lines showing through though......

     Fumed silica will add to the thickness of the resin although add only very small amounts (less than 1%) as it can make the resin very thixotropic if you put in too much.
