I was just wondering if someone could tell me how critical the temperature during curing is for glasscast 50 resin, I plan on doing a river table but my workshop is not insulated - trying to decide if i need to make a small heated enclosure to let it cure in or if it will just take a bit longer if left out in whatever temperature mother nature brings

Realistically you need to be working at or around 20C for best results.  This is both for pouring and curing resins.  Curing below 20C, especially below 15C will considerably increase the cure time and leave the resin vulnerable to moisture absorption which can damage the resin and also make it cloudy in extreme cases.

Secondly below 20C the viscosity of the resin will increase  making the resin harder to pour.  It will trap more air in the resin during mixing and subsequently it will be much harder for the air to escape from the thicker resin once poured.

So as a result we strongly recommend working at 20C .
