Well, I decided to give a shot at a hybrid color...



I thought it was going to be white and black like a checkered flag. thats what it looks like dry.... Now I know why they called it silver.

Checkout this part I made with that fabric, you cannot see the white lines now that the resin has been added.



Did I just get the wrong stuff or how can I make a black and white crossed CF part??

I think that there might be quite a simple answer to this one... It'd be my guess that you have been sold a carbon/glass hybrid, glass goes clear when it's wetted with resin. You need an aluminium coated glass that has been hybrid woven with the carbon, I'm sure they exist if you hunt around long enough. If I were you, I'd be tempted to have a few quiet words with whoever sold the glass fibre to you as 'silver'; a bit deceptive really!
