I'd certainly consider buying one, but I'd have to see good independent reviews first to be sure that it performs well. I'm sure the engineering must be right (it isn't something I have any expertise in), but I'd be interested to know how a layer of fibreglass between two layers of carbon fibre can express any of its flexibility without the carbon fibre layers having to break to allow it to move. Is this just to allow relative movement of the carbon fibre layers across each other rather than to allow bending?

2 layers of carbon will be quite flexible. Carbon in thin laminates is not stiff, but it is still quite strong. So 2 layers of carbon with one layer of fibreglass is ideal for a laminate that requires flexibility.
